Calculation Rationale & Assumptions
- Volume: Primary in yd³ (1 decimal), reference in gallons (0 decimals).
- Capacity: Truck at 90% nominal.
- Water: 1200 gal onboard, 10% reserved => 1100 gal usable.
- Slurry: 40% water, 60% solids.
- Density: 2500 lb/yd³ solids.
- Loads: Ceil(dry vol/(eff cap×0.60)).
- Weight: Water lb = gal ×0.40×8.34; solids lb = yd³×0.60×2500; ÷2000 = US tons.
- Fees: Flat/load, $0.10/gal, or per US ton.
